India has barred top Chinese telecom companies from conducting 5G trials in the country after the permission of more than a dozen Indian and foreign service providers. It has garnered accolades from the US, while Chinese officials have expressed concern over the decision.

India's Department of Telecommunications has signed up mobile service operators Bharti Airtel, Reliance JioInfoCom, Vodafone Idea and MTNL and state-run telecom gear maker C-Dot, Ericsson of Sweden, Nokia of Finland and Samsung of South Korea for six months in India for 5G. Permitted to test.

Chinese companies, Huawei and ZTE, were not mentioned. US lawmakers praised India's move. China's task force president Michael Macaulay warned, "The People's Republic of China law requires any Chinese company - including Huawei and ZTE - to work for the Chinese Communist Party if asked."

Bilateral relations between China and India have been severely soured since last April after the armies of the two countries engaged in skirmishes and skirmishes near the disputed Pangong Lake in eastern Ladakh.

To recall in 2019, the Indian government allowed Huawei to participate in 5G trials in the country. Notably, the Chinese veteran is already banned in the US since an order by former President Donald Trump

What is 5G

5G is a 5th generation mobile network. It is a new global wireless standard followed by 1G, 2G, 3G and 4G networks. 5G enables a new type of network that is designed to connect almost everything and everything together, including machines, objects and equipment.

The 5G wireless technology is intended to deliver higher multi-Gbps peak data speeds, ultra low latency, greater reliability, larger-scale network capability, increased availability, and a uniform user experience for more users. Higher performance and better efficiency empower new user experiences and connect new industries.
